A couple of weeks ago I was in the car with my dad when we saw an animal crossing the road in front of us. At first I thought it was a squirrel but as we got closer I noticed it was moving in a way unlike any wild animal that I had ever seen before! The thing that I had (from a distance) thought to be the long bendy curvy tail of a squirrel was in fact the creature's body! It was long and thin and had a wiggly way of walking. It reached the other side of the road just before we passed it (thank goodness) and for a split second I got a good look at it.
It was a stoat!!!
Or at least - I think that's what it was. It was definitely something from the weasel family anyway. It was larger than a ferret, but much smaller than an otter - it was about the size of a small cat. I don't think it could have been a weasel - it was too big, and its fur was a darker shade of brown than what a weasel generally has (not that I have ever seen a weasel in real life, but I've seen enough pictures I'm pretty sure I can tell the difference between weasel and stoat). This animal actually had the facial markings and colouring of a polecat, and at first I thought that's what it was, but it was bigger than a polecat (polecats are the same size as ferrets aren't they?) and besides, I don't think we get polecats this far in the south west.
It's a mystery! I'll never know what it was, but it was pretty exciting as weasels are my favourite animal (its actually a very close tie between weasels and leopards, they are both my favourite animal) and this was my first ever glimpse of something from the mustela family in the wild, excluding badgers (which are part of the same family for some reason but don't look it so I don't count them - but I've seen a badger before)

Actually, looking at that picture, I'm not sure if this was a stoat as it looked bigger than that one, but maybe that is a small stoat and a large rabbit. The colouring of that stoat looks different to the thing that I saw as well, though.
The creature I saw looked a lot more like this, in fact, it looked exactly like this. This is a polecat. The page says that you don't get them in this part of the country, but maybe the page is wrong. OR, since the polecat is so closely related to the ferret, maybe it was somebody's pet that escaped. Looking at a ferret with what they call "sable" or "polecat coloured" colourings, I don't think I can actually distinguish between a polecat and a ferret. If this was a ferret is was a damn big one! But ferrets are larger than polecats I think so maybe thats what it was.
Ferret. If it was somebody's pet, I really hope it managed to return home okay. It only got to the bit of grass halfway between the dual carraigeway - it still had another road to go.
One day, I will have pet ferrets of my own. Sable ones. I shall call them Fatty and Lard-Ass. :D
That has got to be the cutest thing EVER.

When I was a kid my parents used to watch Coronation Street and I remember there used to be a cat in the opening credits. By the time I started to get into Corrie myself when I was about 18, they had got rid of the cat and I was really disappointed (cos I love my CIW shots, shutup). I stopped watching Corrie when I was about 20 because of a) my work schedule made it impossible to keep up and b) the story with Tracy killing Charlie was spoilt for me and I got really pissed off. I tried to get back into it a year or so ago and watched the story with Ken Barlow having an affair with some woman on a boat, but the work schedule made it difficult and I dropped out of it again. NOW I have discovered ITV player where you can watch episodes you missed!!!! Been meaning to start watching Corrie again for a while but was too lazy, but then there was so much talk about the Christmas and 50th Anniversary episodes that I had to watch them. So I did that today. And I'm pleased to say that the cat has been returned to the opening credits. You don't know how much that pleased me. :) :) :)
Really enjoyed the scene with the bomb going off and the tram crashing off the bridge. That was lovely. There was some nice camera work and editing throughout that scene. (Even if the tram did look a bit fake). Whatsherface reaching for the chocolates was my favourite bit actually! It was like a 24 moment showing everything that was going on at the same time in a few quick cuts, all was drama and fighting and arguing and mayhem, and then her trying to grab a box of chocolates off the top shelf XD

Last night I had a dream that they did some kind of spinoff or prequal or something to Toy Story. It was about Buzz Lightyear and Action Man going on a mission to rescue someone. Action Man was voiced by Sylvester Stallone. XD
I want to see Tom Hanks and Tim Allen in a live action buddy movie. XD

Been a while since I used to make icons (like 2-3 years or maybe more!) But after seeing some others that people have posted, I decided I wanted to get back into it. Thus far I've been pretty lazy and only done 2 I did quite a few after posting this!, both all for Knight Rider (old and new), because thats what happens to be in my temp video files at the moment:
                   
lol that silver car in #14 is KITT3000, it's when he's in disguise in the first episode/tv movie/pilot... thing. Also just noticed for the first time he doesn't have his orb thing in the pilot, sound wave image is on the screen.

omg, that was nasty.
I was cooking my dinner just now, when I noticed this moth flying around near the oven. I was just wondering how to catch it, when it flew down and landed on the oven right next to the hob... fluttered on the spot for a while, and then... burned to death.
Fucking gross.
I don't particularly like moths but I don't like watching any animal get killed. I wonder what the fuck posessed it to fly into the hottest part of the room and then land somewhere hot enough to kill it.

I don't like when people update teenycom with a bunch of random personal shit about themselves before showing their examples. You know the drill, "HI, I'm ___ and I need to raise money for my trip to anthrocon//my sister's kidney transplant//some random thing I don't even need." I mean srsly, what's the deal with that? Is it supposed to make us want to buy their shit more? Like your problems or needs or wants make you more worthy of receiving my money than someone else? Fuck off. I don't care about your personal shit, I don't care if your sister is dying because you can't afford the hospital or you're too poor to eat or you want a new fucking fashion accessory, I don't know you! And furthermore, I have problems of my own that I DON'T shove down the throats of complete strangers to try and weed them out of THEIR own hard-earned cash. I would be embarressed to do so and I think you people who do that should be ashamed.
Let buyers make up their OWN mind based on your product, pure and simple. FYI the guilt trip thing or the "I need money so I can go on to a hotel and with a bunch of fursuiters" makes me LESS inclined to buy your commission no matter how good it is because you disrespect the buyer so much that you feel the need to try to sway them with unrelated personal crap and you're not even ashamed to look like some kind of desperate loser.
The other one that annoys me is when people big up their own work. "These items look great on a chain or as a phone charm. You too can be the proud owner of my wonderful hand crafted charms!" Seriously, you guys who think you're like the hottest shit EVERRR and aren't ashamed to look like a prick with your head up your arse are even worse than the guilt trippers. I don't want to buy your shit just because I don't want to add to your already overinflated ego, and even if the charm or whatever it is you're selling really does look like hot shit I still wouldn't fucking buy it.
I responded to 2 teenycom posts recently, and it was both people who a) I liked the artwork they were offering and b) didn't go overboard in bigging themselves up or guilt tripping but just made it plain and simple and seemed like nice, genuine people whose pockets I don't mind helping to re-fill if they are getting a little on the empty side. Of those 2 one seems to have disappeared (hasn't responded back to any comments, seems to have gone offline which is a shame because the charms they were selling were really cool) and the other has done my commission already (haven't seen it yet) and seemed like a really nice, genuine person who actually deserved my $5. But mostly, I just skim past teenycom really. I thought about removing it, cos the all-to-common posts like those described above annoy me so much, but then, every once in a while I see something that I really like.
